WARNING: Unpack everything, if any part
is missing or damaged, do not plug in the mi-
ter saw until you have replaced the missing or
damaged parts. To avoid injury, the styrofoam
block should be removed between the motor
and the table.
BENCH MOUNTING (Fig. 1)
When the tool is shipped, the handle is locked
in the lowered position by the stop pin (8). Pull
the stop pin (8) and rotate it 90°, either clock-
wise or counterclockwise.
The tool can be bolted
with four bolts (not
provided) to a level
and
stable
surface
using the bolt holes
provided in the tool's
base. This will help
prevent tipping and
possible injury.
MAINTAINING MAXIMUM CUTTING CAPACITY
(Fig. 2)
• Unplug the tool before any adjustment is at-
tempted.
• This tool is factory adjusted to provide the
maximum cutting capacity for a 12" (30.5 cm)
saw blade.
• When installing a new blade, always check
the lower limit position of the blade and if
necessary, adjust it as follows:
• First, unplug the
tool. Push the carriage
toward
the
guide
fence fully and lower
the handle complete-
ly. Use the hex wrench
to turn the adjusting
bolt until the periphery of blade extends
slightly below the top surface of the rotary
table at the point where the front face of the
guide fence meets the top surface of rotary
table.
• With the tool unplugged, rotate the blade
by hand while holding the handle all the
way down to be sure that the blade does not
contact any part of the lower base. Re-adjust
slightly, if necessary.
CAUTION: After installing a new blade, al-
ways be sure that the blade does not contact
