CORDLESS TRIPOD LIGHT SAFETY
WARNINGS
WARNING
Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, fi re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
1. Use only the LED driver that is included with this
product.
Additionally, this LED driver is only for use with this
product. Do not use this LED driver with other products.
2. Use only the specifi ed power supply voltage.
Use of any other voltage may lead to fi re or electric
shock.
3. Avoid damaging the LED driver.
Do not modify, forcibly bend, twist or pull the cord,
place heavy objects on it or place it near heating
appliances.
When not in use, remove the power plug (LED driver)
from the electric socket and from the tripod light.
Failure to do so may lead to electric shock or fi re.
4. Do not touch the power plug (LED driver) with wet
hands.
Doing so may result in electric shock.
5. Insert the power plug (LED driver) securely as far
as it will go.
Dust or dirt between the power plug and the electric
socket may lead to fi re. Remove the power plug
periodically and wipe off any dust or dirt with a dry
cloth.
6. Use only as described in this manual. Use only
manufacturer's recommended attachments.
7. Do not use a tripod light in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of fl ammable liquids, gases
or dust.
8. Do not use the tripod light in wet or damp places or
in the rain.
Doing so may result in electric shock, emission of
smoke or malfunction.
9. Do not disassemble or modify the tripod light.
Doing so may result in electric shock or fi re.
Inspections and repairs should be performed by the
store where purchased or by a HiKOKI power tool
service center.
10. Do not let any unspecifi ed objects or water get
inside the tripod light body.
If any metal or fl ammable object or water gets inside
the battery cover, the AC socket rubber cover and
the USB port rubber cover, it may lead to electric
shock or fi re.
11. Be careful of electrical shock.
12. When not using the tripod light, or when preparing,
storing, or transporting it, be sure to turn off the
switch on the unit, and detach the LED driver and
battery.
13. Do not cover the tripod light with cloth, cardboards
or other materials when the light is on.
14. When the light is turned on, do not look directly into
it, point it at people or animals, or aim it toward the
eyes.
15. The lens will remain at a high temperature when lit
and immediately after use, so do not touch it.
16. Do not use, leave, or store the tripod light in the rain
or in humid places.
17. Do not leave the tripod light in a car or the like that
tends to be exposed to be searching heat of the sun
(above 50°C). Otherwise, troubles can result.
18. Do not leave the tripod light unattended while it is
turned on.

19. Do not use the tripod in strong winds.

are no people below,
Take the necessary precautions depending on
the usage environment to prevent the tripod from
toppling or falling.
21. Do not use the tripod light if the lens is damaged or
detached.
22. Have your tripod light serviced by a qualifi ed repair
person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the tripod light is
maintained.
23. Use the tripod light only with specifi cally designated
rechargeable battery.
Use of any other rechargeable battery may create a
risk of injury and fi re.
24. Recharge only with the charger specifi ed by the
manufacturer.
A charger that is suitable for one type of rechargeable
battery may create a risk of fi re when used with
another battery.
25. When rechargeable battery is not in use, keep
it away from other metal objects like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal
objects that can make a connection from one
terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause
burns or a fi re.
26. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from
the
accidentally occurs, fl ush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or
burns.
27. The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat
such as sunshine, fi re or the like.
28. If the external fl exible cable or cord of this luminaire
is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by
the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar
qualifi ed person in order to avoid a hazard.
29. The light source contained in this luminaire shall
only be replaced by the manufacturer or his service
agent or a similar qualifi ed person.
30. The tripod light shall not be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste.
31. If it is necessary to remove the light source for
verifi cation purposes without permanently damaging
the light source, such as a request from a market
surveillance authority, please contact HiKOKI's local
service agent or directly at the address below for
removal instructions.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS
1. Always charge the battery at a temperature of 0°C–40°C.
A temperature of less than 0°C will result in over charging
which is dangerous. The battery cannot be charged at a
temperature higher than 40°C.
The most suitable temperature for charging is that of
20°C–25°C.
2. Do not use the charger continuously.
When one charging is completed, leave the charger for
about 15 minutes before the next charging of battery.
3. Do not allow foreign matter to enter the hole for
connecting the rechargeable battery.
4. Never disassemble the rechargeable battery and
charger.
