Possible cause
The product is not plugged in.
There is too much food that
has not been removed during
previous cooking and is
burning.
You are preparing greasy
ingredients.
The preparation time is not
enough.
The bread you are using is
excessively moist.
The slice of bread it too big.
Possible solution
Plug the appliance in.
Wipe the surface with a
damp cloth and remove food
residues.
When greasy food is cooked,
a large amount of oil will leak
into the container. Cooking oil
causes white smoke to come
out of the device and it gets
hotter than normal. This does
not affect the device or the
result.
Leave the sandwich in the
sandwich maker for a longer
period of time.
Try using a slightly drier bread
and add, if you consider it
necessary, a pinch of sugar
or butter.
Try trimming the slice a little
if it does not fit the standard
size.
