5.
A "drip loop" shown in the
figure beside, should be
arranged by the user for each
cord connecting a power
adaptor to the socket. The
"drip loop" is the part of the
cord below the level of the
receptacle, or the connector
if an extension cord is in use.
This prevents water from
traveling along the cord and
coming into contact with the
socket or power supply. If
the plug or socket gets wet,
DO NOT unplug the cord.
Disconnect the fuse or circuit
breaker that supplies power
to the appliance then unplug and examine for the presence of
water in the socket.
6.
To avoid injury, do not contact hot parts, allow to cool down
before handling.
7.
CAUTION – Always unplug or disconnect the appliance from
the outlet before putting on or taking off parts and while the
equipment is being installed, maintained or handled. Never
yank the cord to pull the power adaptor from the outlet. Grasp
the power adaptor body and pull to disconnect. Always unplug
an appliance from an outlet when not in use. Never lift this
product by the supply cord.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
9.
Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use. The
use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance
manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
10. Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to
temperatures below freezing. Do not expose the unit to direct
sunlight.
11. Ensure that the appliance is placed on a flat, even surface.
Monitor the product regularly. Do not leave the product
unattended for extended periods.
12. If an extension cord is necessary, ensure the connection is
watertight and dust proof. A cord with a proper rating should be
used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance
rating may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord
so that it will not be tripped over or pulled. The connection
should be carried out by a qualified electrical installer.
13. Indoor Household Use Only. Not for commercial use.
14. CAUTION – To prevent corrosion or deterioration of materials
that could lead to electric shock, use only with fresh water.
15. Do not add any chemicals or medicinal compounds to the water
used in this device.
16. The Exo Terra® Fogger emits a high frequency vibration up to
2" (5cm) above the membrane when in use. This vibration can
harm the terrarium's inhabitants should they come in contact
with it. As a safety precaution, the fogger should be installed
and concealed in such a manner as to prevent the terrarium's
inhabitants from coming in contact with it (ex: inside an Exo
Terra® Waterfall)
17. Do NOT touch the small jet of water at the top.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
Only close adherence to these installation, electrical and
maintenance guidelines will ensure the safe and efficient use
of this appliance.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the Exo Terra® Fogger in the waterpart of the terrarium
or in the Exo Terra® Waterfall so that the water fully covers the
water level sensor. The fogger works best when the top of the
water level sensor is 5-30 mm below the surface.
2. Connect the power pack to the Fogger cable and plug it into
a suitable wall socket. For optimum performance, please
ensure that the cable is fully unrolled and the water is at room
temperature.
3. When the ON/OFF indicator is lit up, the Fogger is operating
and producing mist. The fogger diffuses about 200 ml of water
per hour.
4. 4. If the water level falls below the minimum level, the water
level sensor automatically turns the Fogger off and the ON/OFF
indicator light is switched off.
5. 5. Note: In areas where water hardness is a concern, the
formation of mineral deposits on the fogger is a common
occurrence. When deposits reach a point where they diminish
the fogger's performance, soak the unit in a solution consisting
of equal parts water and white vinegar for 30 minutes. Remove
any remaining residue using a toothbrush.
6. 6. The ceramic membrane has a limited lifespan and will need to
be replaced from time to time, whenever the ON/OFF indicator is
lit up but the device is not producing mist. (sold separately)
EXCHANGING THE MEMBRANE (See illustrations on page 6)
Note: Replacement membrane and key sold separately (PT2082)
The membrane (d) is subject to wear and needs to be changed
once the mist effect begins to slow down. Its lifespan depends on a
number of factors including operating time, water hardness, water
purity etc. (Replacement parts PT2082) Disconnect the power pack
from the power supply and remove the Fogger from the water.
Remove any residue on the Fogger using water and vinegar, ideally
by soaking the device for about 30 minutes. Make sure the Fogger
is completely dry before unscrewing the ring with the key. Using
the membrane key (a), insert the key into the ring nut (b) and turn
counter-clockwise. Remove the brass washer (c) and the membrane
(d). The rubber washer (e) is best left in place. Clean chemical or
mineral deposits on the ring nut (b) and the brass washer (c) with
a soft cloth and install the new membrane (d), the black ringside
facing down, in the reverse order of the above. The inside area of the
unit cavity must be completely dry before the parts are installed.
