Recycling Instructions according to Battery Law
The rechargeable battery which is not detachable contains materials that
are harmful to the environment and therefore must be removed from the
device before disposal. The device must be switched off before removing the
rechargeable battery. Only qualified personnel may remove the battery.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household
waste! Every consumer is obliged to hand in all batteries and rechargeable
batteries, regardless of whether they contain harmful substances or not, at
a collection point in his or her municipality/district or at a retailer, so that
they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Batteries and
rechargeable batteries should only be returned when discharged.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries are therefore marked with the symbol left.
Recycling Instructions according to WEEE
The adjacent symbol of a crossed out dustbin on wheels indicates this device
is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive states at the end of the life
this device must not be disposed of through regular household refuse but must
be returned to special collection sites, recycling depots or waste management
companies. This disposal is free of charge to you.
The following applies to the German market:
When you buy a new device, you have the right to return the corresponding old
device to your dealer. Retailers of electrical and electronic equipment with a
sales area of at least 400 square meters and grocers with a sales area of at least
800 square meters who regularly sell electrical and electronic equipment are
also obliged to take back old equipment free of charge, even without buying
a new one, if the old equipment are in no dimension larger than 25 cm. The
importer offers you take-back options directly in the shops and markets. You
can also find out about local return options from your retailer.
If your old device contains personal data, you are responsible for deleting it
yourself before you return it. If this is possible without destroying the old device,
remove the old batteries or rechargeable batteries and lamps before you return
the old device for disposal and bring them to a separate collection. In the case
of built-in rechargeable batteries, it must be pointed out when disposing of
them that the device contains a rechargeable battery. You can find out other
options for disposing of the worn-out product from your community or city
administration.
