6. Assembly
Check that all parts, necessary tools and safety aids are present (e.g. helmet, gloves, safety shoes).
Required tools:
- Rope
- Spirit level
Assemble the components following the steps shown in appendix T4 and T5
Make all the connections as shown in Annex T3
See the table below for the reference to the annex with the configuration table and configurations per type of rolling tower

6.1. Assembling the RS TOWER 41, 41+ and 42
A. Base section
Determine the working height you want to reach. See also annex T4 composition A (single width); annex T5 composition A (double width).
A1: Working height of an even number of metres
1. Start with a 4-rung frames (part B).
2. Put the wheels into the frames, put the brakes on and put them in
an outward direction [T3: F1 - F3].
3. Place horizontal braces (part G) under the first rung on the vertical
[T3: F4 – F5].
4. Place the 7-rung frames (part A) and lock them [T3: F6 - F8].
5. Place the Safe-Quick® Guardrail(s) (part F) on the sixth rung with
the instruction label facing the inside [T3: F14 – F18].
6. Adjust the base section using a spirit level.
7. Assemble the triangle stabilisers (part I) [T3: F9 – F13].
B. Middle section
See also T4 composition B (single width); T5 composition B (double width).
B1: Working height of an even number of metres
1. Place the Safe-Quick® Guardrail(s) (part F) on the top rung with
the instruction label facing the inside [T3: F14 – F18].
2. Place the platform with trapdoor (part D) [T3: F19 – F21].
3. Access the platform by going through the trapdoor.
4. Repeat the steps until you reach the required platform / working
height.

Place the toe board set (part J)
This manual described the composition that starts with installing the Safe-Quick® Guardrails. In addition to this composition, it is also
possible to start with diagonal braces (part H). For this purpose, replace the Safe-Quick® Guardrails of RS TOWER 41/41+ with two diagonal
braces for RS TOWER 41/41+ and with four diagonal braces for RS TOWER 42. See Annex T10 for these options.
Facade-free use
If necessary for the work to be carried out, the guardrails/Safe-Quick® Guardrail on the facade side of the working platform may be repositio-
ned. Only to be used if the distance to the facade is maximum 15 cm. Local legislation and regulations may contain supplementary measures on
top of this guide.

A2: Working height of an odd number of metres

3. Place the Safe-Quick® Guardrail(s) (part F) on the top rung with
the instruction label facing the inside [T3: F14 – F18].
4. Place the platform with trapdoor (part D) [T3: F19 – F21].
5. Access the platform by going through the trapdoor.
6. Repeat the steps until you reach the required platform / working
height.
