Safety of maintenance, transport and storage.
• Check that all security features are installed and in good condition.
No Force this machine. Using the right machine for the type of work to be done will allow
you to work better and safer.
• Always keep the machine clean, especially the fuel tank, its surroundings and the air filter.
•Attention! After the engine has stopped, the muffler will be hot.
Carry out regular maintenance of the machine. We recommend that maintenance and
repairs not described in this manual be carried out exclusively by the Official Technical Service.
Before Adjust or repair the machine, stop the engine and remove the cable from the spark
plug. These safety precautions reduce the risk of accidentally starting this machine.
Always make engine adjustments with the unit resting on a flat, uncluttered surface. And
never when the unit is in operation.
Check that moving parts are not misaligned or locked, that there are no broken parts or
other conditions that may affect the operation of the machine. Whenever it is damaged, repair it
before use.
• Keep cutting instruments sharp and clean.
Follow the instructions regarding lubrication, tensioning and chain change accessories. A
chain whose tension and lubrication are incorrect can break and increase the risk of recoil.
• Keep the handles of this machine dry and clean.
If the Machine begins to vibrate strangely turn it off and examine it to find the cause. If
you do not detect the reason, take your machine to the Official Technical Service. Vibrations are
always an indication of a problem in the machine.
Reduce the engine speed when you are going to turn off the engine, if the engine is
equipped with a fuel shut-off valve, cut off the fuel when the engine has stopped.
When transporting hold the chainsaw by the front grip with the machine off, the chain and
sword covered with the lid and at a distance from the body parts. When storing the chainsaw,
always cover the sword with the lid.
• Store tools out of reach of children.
Unforeseen reactions.
Always keep an eye on when cutting with the chainsaw and be aware of possible
unforeseen reaction forces. The unforeseen reaction forces that occur in a chainsaw are three:
the bounce, the forward pull and the recoil.
REBOUND
• If any object is touched with the cutting chain in the area of the tip of the sword while it is running.
tThe contact of the chain at the tip of the sword can cause an unforeseen reaction force that can
propel the tip of the sword upwards generating a rotational movement that can cause the chain
sword to collide with the user. This reaction can result in loss of machine control and severe bodily
damage.
FORWARD PULL
When the chain stops abruptly when it catches in the cutting area with a foreign body that
is in the wood or because it is not cut in the proper way. The chain, when stopped, pushes forward
the chainsaw that, if it is not properly fastened against the branch or tree by claw, produces an
unexpected pull that can cause loss of control and cause severe bodily damage.
For avoid this "Pull forward" start the cut at full throttle and always keep the machine at
full speed during cutting and support the gripper of the chainsaw against the wood to be cut.
RECOIL
The Recoil can occur if the sword touches an object or when the wood closes and causes
the chain to lock in the cut. The contact of the tip in some cases can cause an extremely fast
reverse reaction, moving the sword upwards and towards the user. If the chain is locked in a
position on the upper edge of the sword, it can be pushed towards the user. In any of these cases,
the user may lose control of the machine and be seriously injured.
