SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
Read and understand this manual carefully
before using the product.
It is strongly recommended that the legal
requirements regarding occupational safety and
accident prevention at the workplace are strictly
observed.
The use of this product is only intended for trained
personnel.
Notices which you may find in this handbook:

The structural features and usage of the welding equipment
make it essential to pay particular attention to the following
recommendations:
AMBIENT CONDITIONS
Do not expose this product neither to rain nor to
humid places.
WORKPLACE
Make sure that the workplace is inaccessible to
unauthorized persons.
OPERATOR'S PRESENCE DURING WELDING
Do not leave the equipment unattended
during welding operations.
CRAMPED SPACES
If it proves necessary to work in cramped
spaces, it is compulsory to have a person
on hand outside to help the operator in
case of need.
BURNING HAZARD
The electric melting process involves the
reaching of high temperatures in the welding
area. Do not touch the coupler nor the joint
during the welding and cooling phases.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD
Protect the equipment from rain
and/or damp/trenches;
use only pipes and couplings that are
perfectly dry.

Never disconnect the plug from the power
socket by tugging on the power cable;
Never detach the pins from the coupler by
tugging on their power cables;
Never move the equipment by dragging it
along by its power cables.

CONNECTIONS AND GENERATORS
This product requires alternate current power supply within the
characteristics provided in the Technical Features of this
handbook.
Use earth connection at all times with a differential switch of the
circuit breaker with "slow" curve: the power peaks at the
beginning fusion can be very high.
The dimensions and design of the electrofusion couplers to be
welded define the overall power required by generator. The
power requirements may vary also according to connections'
type and status, extensions and the generator's intrinsic
features.
During fusion procedure DO NOT connect other tools to
generator.
Generators' power usually decreases of about 10% for each
1000 m of altitude.

Cable must be completely unwound and extended.
Use stabilized generators only. Voltage spikes and overvoltage
may damage the equipment.
Disconnect from the mains after welding.
On completion of the welding operation, always
remember to disconnect the plug from the
mains /power socket. This product has to be
disconnected from the generator before turning
it on, in order to avoid current peaks which can
seriously damage electronic components of the
machine. Keep this product disconnected from
power supply when connecting adapters. Make
sure the main switch is not in the ON Position
when connecting power tools to any power
supply. Do not carry power tools around while
they are connected to power supply since they
may start accidentally.
USE CHEMICALLY INERT PIPES
Never perform welding on pipes that contain (or
previously
contained)
combined with heat, can produce gases that
are explosive or dangerous to human health.
This welding equipment must not be used in
areas where there is any risk of fire or explosion. It
is
compulsory
specifically
equipment.
PERSONAL PROTECTION
Wear insulating footwear and gloves.
