• The car seat must always be fastened. Even when the child is not transported in it.
The car seat that is not fastened can injure the passengers even during emergency braking.
• On some vehicle seats made of delicate materials, the use of car seats may leave marks
and/or discoloration. To prevent this from happening, you can place a blanket, towel or
similar product under the car seat.
4.0 Folding/unfolding the backrest of the car seat
To fold the seat, pull up the lever with the belt for folding the backrest (8). Folding the seat is
possible only when the headrest is set to at least its eleventh hight position and the side
protection elements are not folded out. Fold the backrest (2) towards the seat (4) as far as
possible to a horizontal position (Fig. C.5). After folding the car seat, the armrests should be
directly under the side protection elements.
Unfolding the car seat: Pull up the lever with the belt for folding the backrest (8) and unfold
the seat to the vertical position until you hear a distinctive sound.
CAUTION! Only properly unfolded car seat will ensure maximum travel safety.
5.0 Installation in the car
5.1 Forward-facing car seat installation for children between 100 and 150 cm tall
(approximately 3.5 to 12 years of age) using the vehicle seat belt and the ISOFIX system.
• Attach the ISOFIX guides (11) on the seat connectors.
• Press the ISOFIX release buttons (10) and slide the ISOFIX latches out (9) as far as possible
(Fig. B.1).
• Grasp the child seat with both hands and insert both latches into the places of installation
on the seat (Fig. B.2).
• When you hear a "click" from each of the ISOFIX latches, push the seat of the car seat against
the backrest, exerting firm, even pressure on both sides.
• CAUTION! The locking latches are properly attached only when both button markings are
completely green (Fig. B.3).
• Grasp the car seat and check that it is fastened securely with no slack. If it does move and
the ISOFIX latches (9) come out, repeat the previous steps.
• Secure your child in with the vehicle's seat belts. Details are described in the section of the
instructions for installing the seat with the seat belts (see section 5.2)
5.2 Forward-facing car seat installation for children between 100 and 150 cm tall
(approximately 3.5 to 12 years of age) using the vehicle three-point seat belts.
IMPORTANT The vehicle manual provides the location of the installation points and other
necessary information for installing the car seat in your vehicle. The user MUST read the
vehicle operation manual.
• Adjust the headrest to the child's height (see section 6.0).
• Place the car seat on the vehicle seat. Make sure that the backrest of the car seat rests flat
against the backrest of the vehicle seat (see section 6.1).
• Guide the shoulder belt through the green guide (5) under the headrest (Fig. B.4a).
