5. Before starting the equipment
The equipment is supplied without batteries
and without a charger.
5.1 Choice of accessories
Use only the brush/pad which is intended to be
used for the surface you want to clean. Before
you use a brush, test its suitability on an inconspi-
cuous area.
5.1.1 Accessories provided with the product
The pre-fi tted brush type MEDIUM 90/20 (Fig. 1
/ Item 8) is suitable for coarse cleaning jobs on
robust surfaces (e.g. tiles, concrete, granite, non-
painted wood).
The included brush type SOFT 120/50 (Fig. 2
/ Item 10) is also suitable for cleaning jobs on
sensitive surfaces (e.g. garden furniture, showers,
washbasins, sensitive tiles, car wheel rims).
The pads are attached to the pad holder by hook-
and-loop fasteners.
The included white foam pad (Fig. 2 / Item 12) is
attached to the pad holder (Fig. 2 / Item 11) with a
press and is removed again with a fi rm tug. It can
be used as a dirt eraser and as a cleaning pad.
Suitable for: painted and non-painted surfaces,
glass, leather
Not suitable for: linoleum fl oors, wood, copper,
stainless steel, chrome, vehicle paintwork, anti-
stick coatings, natural stone (marble and granite).
The included blue microfi ber pad (Fig. 2 / Item
13) is attached to the pad holder (Fig. 2 / Item 11)
with a press and is removed again with a fi rm tug.
It can be used as a cleaning pad.
Suitable for: hard or coated surfaces, cast iron,
ceramics, porcelain, metal, aluminium
The included green kitchen fi ber pad (Fig. 2 / Item
14) is attached to the pad holder (Fig. 2 / Item 11)
with a press and is removed again with a fi rm tug.
It can be used as a cleaning pad.
Suitable for: scratch-resistant surfaces or ma-
terials (e.g. non-coated pots and pans, cast iron,
barbecue grids, ceramics)
Not suitable for: coated, painted and otherwise
scratch-sensitive surfaces or materials.

5.1.2 Special accessories (not included with
the product)
The ULTRA 95/25 brush with brass bristles is
suitable for removing stubborn dirt from sensitive
surfaces (including cast-iron, enameled barbecue
grids), for removing paint from wood and metals,
and for preparing weather-beaten wooden furni-
ture. Wood should always be brushed along the
grain. Wear protective gloves when you fi t the
brush.
The SOFT 170/40 brush is suitable for cleaning
e.g. car wheel rims, garden furniture, blinds, ga-
rage doors, tiles, greenhouse and conservatory
frames, and for removing green growth from plas-
tered, painted and wooden walls.
5.2 Changing the cleaning brushes / pad
holders
5.2.1 Brush type SOFT 120/50 / pad holder
a) Turn the pre-fi tted MEDIUM 90/20 brush
counter-clockwise as far as the stop (Fig. 3)
and pull it off the brush mount (Fig. 4).
b) Turn the mounting ring (Fig. 4 /A) Item coun-
ter-clockwise and pull it off the brush mount
(Fig. 5).
c) Turn the brush cover (Fig. 5 / Item 1) counter-
clockwise and remove it (Fig. 6).
d) Press the brush or pad holder onto the brush
mount (Fig. 7) and turn it clockwise (Fig. 8) as
far as the stop.
The SOFT 120/50 brush (Fig. 1 / Item 10) can
now be used.
Before a pad can be used it must be pressed onto
the pad holder. Pad and pad holder both have a
hook-and-loop fastener.
5.2.2 Brush type MEDIUM 90/20
To use the roller-shaped brush type MEDIUM
90/20 you need the brush cover (Fig. 1 / Item
1). Place the brush cover on the brush mount
as shown in Fig. 9. Check that the recesses and
the lugs (Fig. 9) lie one above the other. Turn the
brush cover counter-clockwise (Fig. 10). Then fi t
the mounting ring (Fig. 4 / Item 4) and the MEDI-
UM 90/20 brush.
The mounted brush cover (Fig. 1 / Item 1) can be
turned in both directions as far as the respective
stop.
