If the filter set is not used for 2–3 days, at least 4–5 litres of
water must be drawn off and discarded. If the filter set is not
used for more than 4 weeks, the filter cartridge must be
changed.
• Before installation, the power supply to the filter set and the
terminal units must be disconnected (pull out the mains
plug).
• Prior to working on electrical components, it is essential to
disconnect the mains plug as well as shut off the water
supply and the permeate line to ensure everything is
voltage-free.
Note:
• The RO filter sets are not intended for commercial areas.
• A change in temperature of +/- 1 °C increases or decreases
the permeate output by 3% in each case.
Requirements for installation
For the installation of the filter set, a place should be chosen
that is easy to connect to the water network. A sewage
connection and a separate mains connection (100–230 V,
50 Hz) should be provided in the immediate vicinity. An
earthed socket must be used to make the electrical connection
of the filter set.
The power supply and the required feed water pressure must
be provided at all times.

heads) due to fluctuations in the input water quality, flow
pressure as well as water temperature and permeate back

Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly before and after installation
(observe EN 806)!
The filter set must be connected to hoses and to the electrical
socket.
The filter set is switched on with the unit switch (positioned
on the back of the unit). Operationality (POWER ON) is
indicated by a white flashing LED and a beep sounding
once.
Note: After installation, the filter set must be rinsed for at least
10 minutes.
Maintenance
Prior to maintenance work on the drinking water supply,
the filter set must be disconnected from the water supply.
Flush the water pipe sufficiently before reconnecting the
unit.
Filter
The replacement interval for the filter and the membrane is
12 months.
For filter replacement, see the technical product information for
the filter cartridge.
After a new filter cartridge has been inserted, the filter capacity
must be reset.
Note: Each time the filter is changed, the filter set must be
rinsed for at least 10 minutes.
Each time during maintenance, the connection cables and the
filter set must be checked for damage.
Environment and recycling
Used filter cartridges can be disposed of hazard-free as
residual waste. In the European Union, you can send the filter
cartridges including the hygiene cap back to GROHE for
recycling.

Disposal notes
This category of device does not belong in the domestic
waste, but must be disposed of separately in
accordance with the relevant national regulations.
