Preparation
Setting up the receiver
Use as a single device
For use of the EM 2003 as a single device, it
is advantageous to use the steel wire antenna
GZA 2003 (order no. 36154). It can be quickly
mounted and is suited for applications in which the
receiver should be easily put into operation. For
mounting, see illustration.
Hints for setting up the receiver
- Do not locate the receiver in the immediate w
cinty of digitally controlled devices
- Locate the receiver at the highest point possible
so that the antenna has an "unobstructed view"
on the transmitting antennas.
- Locate the receiver in the same room as the trans¬
mitter.
If the receiver location is not identical with the
optimal antenna location use detached antennas
(— "Connecting and positioning of detached an¬
tennas").
Use as a built-in device
Using the rack adapter GA19 (Art.-No. 2605) avail
able from the accessory program the EM 2003 can
be fitted into 19 * racks The antenna GZA 2003 is
not suited for this type of application (- "Connec
ting and positioning detached antennas").

If, for technical reasons, the receiver cannot be
installed at the point of best reception it is also pos¬
