Instructions for the qualified workshop if the position of the
support bracket for the relevant vehicle is not set correctly.
– Position the carrier unit on the vehicle.
– Position the plastic base support -18- on the left-hand side
and secure the claw fastener -15- lightly in place with the
clamping screw -14- so that they are correctly positioned.
– Lift the right-hand profile cap -6- approx. -2 cm- out of the
profile tube -3- -A- to access the hexagon bolts -4-.
– Use a hexagon socket wrench -B- (5 mm) to unscrew the
hexagon bolts -4- on the right-hand support bracket far
enough that the support bracket can be moved. The carrier
unit remains on the vehicle roof during this process.
– Adjust the right-hand support bracket so that the plastic base
support with roof support -18- is flush with the edge of the
roof -arrow-.
The gap -a- must not exceed 1 mm.

– Use a hexagon socket wrench -A- (5 mm) to tighten the hex-
agon bolts -4- to 8 Nm.
– Push the profile cap -6- back into the profile tube -3- -B-.
– Repeat the procedure on the other roof bar if necessary.
WARNING
Check that all hexagon bolts have been tightened (8 Nm).
If these guidelines are not observed, this can result in the
carrier units becoming loose or falling off – risk of acci-
dent!
Do not use the supplied torque wrench (4 Nm).
