‧ Protect the mains socket and mains plug against
moisture and wetness. A drip loop must be formed
with the mains cable. This prevents any water
running along the cable to the mains socket, which
would result in a short-circuit.
‧ The electrical data of the appliance must match
the data of the power mains. This data is found
on the type plate, the packaging and in these
instructions.

Commissioning
Installing the suction cup (⌦A)
1. Push the suction cup
2. Attach the suction cup holder to the heater.
3. Rotate the suction cup

▶ Hint: Moisten the suction cups with water for easier installation.
Installing the heater (⌦B)
1. Attach the appliance below water level on the inside of your
aquarium. Take the minimum water level into account.
▶ The heater must be flushed well in order to guarantee consistent
water heating. Therefore, place the heater in an area with a
strong flow.
▶ Check the water temperature at regular intervals.
▶ In order to achieve a water temperature of 25°C ±1°C, the ambi-
ent temperature must not fall below 18°C.
Operation
Switching the heater on/off
1. Insert the mains plug in the mains socket. The red LED
illuminates when the heater heats the water (water temperature
below 25°C ±1°C).
2. To turn it off, remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Before you remove the heater
WARNING! Burning and fire hazards due to hot surfaces.
▶ Allow the appliance to cool down in the water for at least 30
minutes before removing it.
If you have accidentally removed the heater during operation:
▶ Do not submerge the heater back into the water.
▶ Do not touch any hot surfaces.
▶ Remove the mains plug and allow the heater to cool down for at
least one hour on a heat-resistant base.
Thermal circuit breaker
The heater is equipped with a thermal circuit breaker as protection against
overheating and any associated fire hazards. In the event of the heater being
accidentally operated outside the water or when the water level is too low, it will
be switched off. The heater will switch back on automatically after cooling down.
Maintenance
