Avoiding hazards caused by defective
Geberit pressing jaws
Geberit pressing jaws are exposed to serious
forces during the pressing procedure and wear
out. The use of worn or damaged pressing jaws
can lead to injuries.
• Only use the pressing jaws if they are in perfect
working order.
• Maintain the pressing jaws regularly. → See
maintenance regulations for Geberit pressing
jaws.
• Only store the pressing jaws in dry rooms.
• Transport pressing jaws in shock-protected
transport cases.
• Regularly inspect pressing jaws for defects and
damage before and after every use. Inspect the
pressing jaws particularly for incipient cracks in
the pressing contour and on the flanges.
• If there are incipient cracks, take the pressing
jaws out of service immediately, label them as
defective and do not use them again.
