Application: When worn properly and given adequate care, the kids earmuff
provides excellent protection by filtering high frequency noise which is found
in most noise problems from dynamic machines, such as workshop equipment,
motor saws etc.
Materials and measures:
Plastic headband, HIPS (cup) and soft PVC leather (cushion).

Use: (Over-the-head earmuff)
1. Pull the cups apart, place headband passing over head.
2. Place the cups over ears, adjust the height for optimum comfort by sliding the
cups up or down while holding the headband in place. Ensure the headband
rests on top of the head to support the muff.
3. Make sure the cushions form a snug seal around the ears and reduce noise
effectively.
Warning:
1. The Kids Hearing Protection Earmuffs are of „medium size range" according to
EN352-1. This size suits most users.
2. The kids earmuff should be regularly checked for serviceability. Put the
earmuffs on before exposing to noise and wear them during the whole noise
exposure. Be warned that failure to adhere to these recommendations will
cause the protection afforded by the earmuffs to be severely impaired.
3. The kids earmuff may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances.
Further information should be sought from the manufacturer.
4. Earmuffs, in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be exa-
mined a frequent intervals for example cracks. Replace earmuff after 2-3 years
by normal use or sooner if you recognize any signs of deterioration.
5. The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic perfor-
mance of earmuffs.
6. The user should permanently wear the headband earmuff in noisy environ-
ment.
7. Ear protection will be reduced if protectors are not well fitted, not always
worn in noisy environment and not regularly checked.
8. If the recommendations given in the instructions are not followed, the protec-
tion provided by the product will be significantly reduced.
9. Ensure the kids earmuffs are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance
with the manufacturer's instructions.
10. When worn with eye glasses or headband a reduction of protection may occur.
Storage and transportation:
1. When not in use, it is recommended to store the earmuff in a clean and dry
polybag.
2. For models equipped with PVC leather headband, it is not allowed to store
the products in temperatures higher than 45 °C. The environmental friendly
material used for the PVC leather will have qualitative change under excessive
high temperature either in transportation or storage over time.

3. When transporting use original packaging.
Hygiene:
In order to use the kids hearing protection earmuff hygienically, we recommend
to use our 100 pieces hygiene covers in universal size. Incl. Betzold storage box
made of sturdy plastic (No./Art. 763511).
Cleaning: Clean with warm soapy water, do not use organic solvents or alcohol
for cleaning. Should it not be possible to clean the earmuff anymore or if they
are damaged dispose the earmuff and replace it by a new one.
Disinfection:
1. It is required to disinfect the kids earmuff every 3 months, according to the
intensity of use.
2. Any part of the earmuff which is in contact with the wearer should be
disinfected with a product suitable for use on plastics and not known to be
harmful to the wearer.
Replacement: In order to keep the best product features and avoid any material
changes, please replace whole product at least every 2 - 3 years. There are no
spare parts. Do not replace any part by yourself, it might reduce the protective
feature of the product; even destroy its overall structure. For any order necessary,
please contact with manufacturer.
Guarantee:
In addition to the legal guarantee (and without reducing it) you receive 2 years of
total guarantee. That means, you do not have to prove that articles were already
damaged at purchase. In case of guarantee, contact place of purchase.
