SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
READ AND SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS FAN
WARNING
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk
of electric shock from fire and injury to persons, including the following. Read all instructions before
using the product:

The fan is only for intended use as described in this manual. All other uses not recommended in the
manual may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
•
This fan is intended for home use only.
•
To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the fan, plug, or cord in water or spray them with liquids.
•
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children..
•
Always unplug the fan when not in use, when moving the fan from one location to another, and
before cleaning.
•
Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug or after the fan has malfunctioned or has been
dropped or damaged in any manner.
•
The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer can be dangerous.
•
Do not use it outdoors.
•
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch any hot surface.
•
To disconnect, hold plug and pull from wall outlet. Never pull on the cord.
•
Do not operate without fan louver in place.
•
Always use on a dry, level surface.
•
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a
similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
•
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified
electrician.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE OPERATION
•
Do not operate in the presence of explosive or flammable gases.
•
Avoid contact with moving parts. Never insert fingers, pencils or other similar objects through the
protector.
•
Do not place the fan or its parts near an open flame, stove or other heating appliances.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons without assistance or super-
vision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from using it safely. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
•
Always unplug the fan before cleaning, simply lift the ring clips on the guards and remove the front
guard.
•
Use a soft cloth, moistened with a mild soap, to clean the fan and guard. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
•
Do not submerge the fan in water and never allow water to soak into the motor component.
•
Do not use gasoline, thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.
