3. Product Installation
1. The connector of the MICRO SANDER AW+ is directly connected to the dental unit handpiece tube (Fig. 3). (Including turbines and other water supply and gas equipment, the same below).
2. Turn o the water and air supply to the dental unit, remove the MICRO SANDER AW+ powder bottle, pour it into the sand powder, where the sand powder must not exceed the maximum
capacity indicated by the bottle body, and then screw the bottle into the handle body and check whether it is tightened (Fig. 4).
3. The nozzle is aligned with the spittoon, the supply switch on the dental unit is first turned on, the foot switch is stepped down, and the starting key on the handle of the MICRO SANDER
AW+ is lightly pressed. After the sand powder is ejected and adjusted evenly, then turn on the water switch on the dental unit and adjust the amount of water. Try to spray 3 seconds first,
confirm that the sand powder injection achieves the desired e ect, and then use the target (Fig. 5). (Water and air adjustments are done on the dental unit. This process does not need to
start the atomization switch).

Warm tips:
– Use of alumina sandblasting powder: The standard pressure on the dental unit should be adjusted to 3.5-5 .5 kgf/cm. It is recommended to use < 5 m high-purity alumina sandblasting
powder and not to block for moisture. The operator shall wear a mask and goggles and operate in a relatively sealed transparent dust collection box. Do not spray the nozzle on a non-
sprayed target to avoid loss or danger. It is recommended to use rubber dam and strong suction system to assist in sand blasting.
– Use of sodium bicarbonate micro powder: The standard pressure on the dental unit should be adjusted to 2.5-4 .5 kgf/cm. It is recommended to use < 65 m sodium bicarbonate or Glycine
micro powder and not to block for moisture. During operation, the nozzle should be 3-5 mm away from the surface of the tooth, and a small circle motion jet should be made at an angle of
30-80 degrees. It is strictly forbidden to spray sand powder directly into the soft tissue of the mouth, gums, or to use it in patients who are not suitable for cleaning the tooth surface with
sodium bicarbonate powder. After the treatment is completed, adjust the amount of water on the dental unit or turbine to the maximum surface of the rinsing tooth. (The operation should
be performed by a dentist and a dental health care worker. Persons who have not obtained the relevant qualifi cations are not allowed to use it).
– At the end of the operation, the MICRO SANDER AW+ should be removed to a non-sandblasting target. The water supply should be shut down fi rst, and then the gas supply
should be closed so that the accumulated water from the water hole will not seep into the sand nozzle, causing the sand nozzle to block. The remaining sand powder shall not be
reused, and the empty powder bottle shall be tightened to the sand-cleaning machine handle body, and the empty spray shall be carried out when the water supply is closed until
the handle pipe is emptied without residue.
4. Operation Tips
1. If the MICRO SANDER AW+ accidentally falls, check whether the powder bottle has cracks and whether the nozzle is blocked before re-use. If there is damage, it should be replaced imme-
diately. The water supply and air switch must be closed when not used for a short period of time.
2. The amount of sand powder shall not be higher than the maximum range defined by the powder bottle. When the capacity of the powder bottle is less than 1/5, the water supply switch
shall be closed immediately to make up the sand powder in time.
3. If the target is sprayed with alumina sand powder in the dust collection box, the water supply should be closed at this time. The target should only be dry sprayed to avoid the danger of the
dust collection box being exposed to water leakage.
4. The metal part of the MICRO SANDER AW+ can be sterilized at 134°C. Other detachable parts such as powder bottles and O-rings and related gaskets are recommended for alcohol wiping disinfection.
REMARK: DO NOT PROCESS THE SAND SPRAY CLEANING MACHINE AS A WHOLE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE STERILIZATION, IT SHOULD BE DISASSEMBLED
AND SELECTIVE MAINTENANCE DISINFECTION APPLIED.
