If the learning process is not confirmed as complete by the single, drawn-out tone within 100 seconds, you must
carry out troubleshooting.
1.6 Set-up troubleshooting
After audible confirmation of the successfully completed learning process and switching the ignition off, cut through
the blue single wire from the power supply wiring harness.
Insulate the ends of the cut single wire.
This ends the set-up process.
Check the Park Distance Control system functions using the enclosed operating instructions.
If all of the Park Distance Control system functions are working correctly, complete the final installation.
1.7 Final installation
If you establish malfunctions with the Park Distance Control system, carry out troubleshooting and then set-up again.
1.6 Set-up troubleshooting
Note
Set-up can be carried out again after the cut blue single wire is reconnected.
1.6 Setting up troubleshooting
Note
If the fault has been found and rectified, the parking distance warning system must be set up again.
1.5 Setting up the parking distance warning system
If there is no tone after switching on the ignition and engaging reverse gear, check the power supply wiring, the con-
nections on the control unit and the reversing lamp light bulb.
Note
If the reversing lamp light bulb is defective, the power supply to the reversing lamp is cut off by the vehicle's own
control unit. A fault is indicated in the dash panel insert. In this case, the Park Distance Control system will also not
work.
Page 6 - Figure 1
With reverse gear engaged, is the supply voltage to connector -2- 12V?
Troubleshooting as per the wiring diagram
Is the buzzer connector plug -4- connected correctly?
Is the blue single wire from the power supply wiring harness already cut? If necessary, reconnect.
If within a max. of 100 seconds after the double beep (start of the learning process) a single, drawn-out tone does
not sound to confirm the end of the learning process, check the sensor connections.
If within a max. of 100 seconds after the double beep (start of the learning process) a single, drawn-out tone does
not sound to confirm the end of the learning process, but an intermittent beep is heard instead, then the obstacle
behind the vehicle has not been detected.
Check the distance to the wall, correct as necessary, or align with another obstruction at a distance of 50 cm.
1.7 Final installation
Secure all the Park Distance Control system wires to existing wires or holders to avoid noises.
Fit the right luggage compartment side trim, the rear hatch trim and the luggage compartment floor mat in the
reverse order.
