3.3. Electric installation
To avoid the risk of damage to the equipment, make sure that the rating on the data plate
corresponds to the voltage and frequency of the power supply.
Only connect the equipment to an earthed power supply!
Do not connect the equipment to the mains electricity supply by a multi-socket adapter or an
extension lead.
All installation works must strictly comply with current local and national safety regulations.
Connect the power cable to an earthed power supply.
4. Operating instructions
Avoid direct contact with the lamp's radiation. UV-radiation is harmful, especially for eyes and skin.
Never operate the equipment with wet hands!
In case water or any other liquid is accidently spilled over the grill, immediately disconnect it from
the power supply and let it dry completely before using it again.
4.1. Switching on
1. After connecting the equipment to the power supply, put the knives into the support grid.
2. Close the door.
3. Turn the timer to the desired time. Disinfection starts.
 The minimum time for disinfection is 30 minutes for the maximum load of knives.
 The disinfection process is more efficient when the knives are clean and dry.
4.2. Switching off
When the door is opened, the equipment automatically switches off (security system).
In order to switch off the equipment, turn the timer to position 0.
5. Cleaning
Always disconnect the equipment from the power supply before proceeding to any cleaning
intervention.
Do not use jets of water to clean the equipment. Do not pour water onto the equipment or onto any
of its attached components.
Do not use solvent, abrasive or acid detergents on the equipment!
1. Disconnect the equipment from the power supply.
2. Extract the equipment from its usual place in order to reach all components.
3. Clean the equipment with a soft humid cloth and a bit of mild detergent.
6. Maintenance 
Only suitably qualified and competent persons may install and repair the equipment. Installation and
repair works must strictly comply with current local and national safety regulations.
