clipper to ensure it is aligned correctly on the mat for efficient charging. The clipper
will automatically turn off when placed on the charging mat. The white light on the
clipper will fade in and out while charging. Note that the clipper can be removed at
any time during the charging cycle without harming the clipper or battery. Once the
battery is fully charged, the lights on the battery pack (Figure D) will turn solid white.
The battery pack can be charged separately from the clipper. To charge the battery
pack separately, remove from clipper and use textured line on the charging mat to
align the front of the battery correctly. The white light on the battery pack will fade
in and out while charging. Once the battery pack is fully charged, the light will turn
solid white.
The clipper has not been charged at the factory. Please charge the clipper for
3 hours before the first use for maximum performance.
You can keep the clipper placed on the charging mat when not in use. The charging
mat will maintain the battery at full charge. We recommend that the charging mat be
unplugged if the clipper won't be used for seven or more days.
If the battery pack and/or clipper is knocked out of alignment on the charging mat,
remove from the charging mat and place back onto the charging mat in the correct
target zone.
WARNING: For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable
supply unit provided with this appliance
REPLACING THE BATTERY PACK
To remove the battery pack from the clipper press the indented tab above the
battery on the back of the clipper and slide off. To replace the battery pack slide the
battery into the clipper.
FAILURE TO CHARGE
1. Make sure voltage is present at the wall outlet (confirm with an appliance you
know is working).
2. Make sure the clipper is OFF.
3. Check to make sure charging mat cord is plugged firmly into adapter. Twist the
charging mat cord slightly to ensure good electrical connection.
4. If failure to charge still exists, return clipper to Andis or an Andis authorized service
station for examination and repair or replacement.
