BEFORE FIRST USE
FIT FRONT FEET (FM10D & FM10D-7 Only)
If you have purchased a T or TW stand to go with your log splitter then you can
ignore this step. Attach the two plastic/rubber feet (supplied in the plastic bag with
the handle) to the plate on the bottom of the front foot, using the nuts and spring
washers supplied.
This step does not apply to the FM5 & FM8 as they use a different front leg.
FIT THE LIFTING HANDLE (For use outside of the European Union)
When used outside of the European Union, a lifting handle is supplied so the machine
can be lifted up and moved on the rear wheels. This is fitted to the top face of the
cross piece on the end of the ram using the two bolts supplied which screw into the
threaded holes in the top face.
If using the log splitter in the European Union then this handle should not be fitted
as it obstructs the work bench and safety guard, see the next section.
