Do not dispose of waste batteries, waste
electrical and electronic equipment as
unsorted municipal waste. Waste batteries
and waste electrical and electronic equipment
must be collected separately. Waste batteries,
waste accumulators, and light sources have to
be removed from the equipment. Check with
your local authority or retailer for recycling
advice and collection point. According to
local regulations, retailers may have an
obligation to take back waste batteries and
waste electrical and electronic equipment
free of charge. Your contribution to the reuse
and recycling of waste batteries and waste
electrical and electronic equipment helps to
reduce the demand of raw materials. Waste
batteries, in particular containing lithium, and
waste electrical and electronic equipment
contain valuable and recyclable materials,
which can adversely impact the environment
and the human health if not disposed of in an
environmentally compatible manner. Delete
personal data from waste equipment, if any.
Battery
A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does
not develop its full capacity until after approx. 2 – 3 charging/
discharging cycles.
Do not place down the battery on radiators or expose it to intense
sunlight for longer periods; temperatures above 50 °C cause damage.
Keep the contacts/terminals of the charger and replaceable battery
clean. For optimal service life, fully charge the battery after use.
Battery Charging
NOTE: The battery supplied is partially charged. To ensure full
capacity of the battery, completely charge the battery in the battery
charger before fi rst-time use.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without reducing
its service life. Interrupting the charging process does not damage the
battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharging. When
the battery has no charge, the product is switched off by means of a
protective circuit. The inserted tool stops.
□ Stop pressing the trigger switch after the product has been
automatically switched off . The battery can be damaged.
Removing the Battery
To remove the battery, press and hold the unlocking button and pull
out the battery toward the front. Do not exert any force.
Observe the notes for disposal.
Changing the Tool
See page 4.
□ Remove the battery before any work on the product (e. g.,
maintenance, tool change) or during transport and storage.
Unintentional tool actuation can lead to injury.
□ Clean the product's air vents regularly. The motor's fan will
draw the dust inside the housing and excessive accumulation of
metal particles may cause electrical hazards.
