CAUTION
Specific conditions of use
1. This equipment shall be installed in an enclosure with an ingress protection of at
least IP54 in accordance with EN 60079-0 and EN 60529. The installation shall also
ensure Pollution Degree 2 (as defined in EN 60664-1) inside the enclosure. All
circuits shall be limited to Overvoltage category I or II. These requirements apply
even when installed in a non-hazardous area.
2. The earth connection of the mounting rail shall be connected to the local potential
equalization system per applicable installation standard.
3. Transient protection shall be provided that is set at a level not exceeding 140 % of
the peak rated voltage value at all supply terminals to the equipment, or at most
set at 119 V.
Maintenance
The Ex-I/O modules are maintenance-free.
