6.3 SAFETY-INDICATOR FTZ-SI (Accessories)
6.3.1 General safety instructions
The SAFETY-INDICATOR FTZ-SI shows the gripping safety during the complete gripping process.
If, for example, dirt or wetness should cause the gripping goods to slip, two red pointers will warn the
user in time.
If one or both red pointers of the SAFETY-INDICATOR are
visible when lifting the gripping good (Fig. 1), the gripping
good must be set down on the floor immediately.
Otherwise, there is a risk of the gripping good slipping/
sliding out. DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
In the case of a dangerous situation, search for the causes
and lift the gripping good again after remedial action has
been taken.
Possible causes:
•
Heavily worn rubber grippers
•
Unsuitable gripping good or conical gripping surfaces of
the gripping good
•
Incorrectly adjusted gripping range
•
Dirty, wet, icy, or abrading surfaces of the gripped good
Only gripping goods (stone elements) that are at least the
same length ( ) as the mounting plate of the SAFETY-
INDICATOR may be gripped and lifted! → Fig. 2
Otherwise, the SAFETY-INDICATORS will not work!
(Fig. 2A).
The device must rest completely on
the gripping good, so that both red
pointers of the SAFETY-INDICATOR
are no longer visible (Fig. 3).
Only then can the gripping and
lifting process be started.
