3 - FOR YOUR SAFETY
Be sure to check the following before connecting this
appliance:
- Use protective gloves when handling hot components.
- The power rating of your mains supply must be sufficient
to operate the appliance.
- Your mains supply must comply with current standards
(cable cross-section, protection) and be in good condition.
- This appliance must be connected to a 230-240V 50-60Hz
socket.

- If an extension cable is used, it must be unwound in its
entirety to prevent it from overheating.
- Always turn the control knob to the 'O' setting before
connecting or disconnecting the power cord.
- To protect against an electric shock, do not immerse the
cord, plug or body of the appliance in water or any other
liquid. Do not handle them with wet hands.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
countertop.
- Do not place this appliance and its cord on or near any
surface that may become hot (electric hob, gas burner,
oven, etc.).
- Place this appliance on a stable, dry surface, slightly
away from the edge and more than 20 cm from any wall
or heat-sensitive item.
- If an extension cord is to be used: it must have a cross-
section at least equivalent to that of the appliance cord
and incorporate an earth connection. Take the necessary
