Be convincing that the machine has not been damaged in transit. Check that the nominal voltage is the same as the
voltage indicated on the rating plate and that all parts that belong to the standard equipment are available.
4.1
Electrical connection
Operate this machine only via a properly earthed 3-phase socked (CEE 400V-3P+(N)+PE 32A-6h).
With a adaptor cable (32A coupling – 16A plug) the converter and also be operated on a 16A CEE
socket. Please take care for a correct mains voltage (400 V). A neutral conductor is not required.
If the machine is operated on a higher secured socket you risk a total burn of the electronic in case
of a fault.
Incorrect mains voltage, like undervoltage, phase-disconnection on unsymmetrical phase voltage decreases the
power output considerable and can take to irreparable damages of the motor.
The FU15D can temporarily be used on 480 Volt mains voltage. Higher voltages however can cause irreparable
damages. Please regard this voltage limit when you operate the machine on a generator.
WS76H and FU15D can be used at a generator or a transformer provided by the construction site, if following
conditions are kept:
-
operating voltage 3~ 400V ±10 %
-
integrated automatic voltage controller with start amplification
frequency 50 – 60Hz
-
-
power output at least 20 kVA
Do not use any other devices at the generator/transformator at the same time. The switching on and off of other
devices can cause undervoltage and / or overvoltage peaks that can interfere or damage the FU15D and WS76H.
If required use only high-quality extension cords with sufficient cross section:
Up to 50m length - 4G2,5 quality, e.g. H 07BQ-F or H 07RN-F
More than 50m length - 4G4 quality, e.g. H 07BQ-F or H 07RN-F
Pay attention that the extension cord is not rolled up during operation, in order to ensure sufficient
heat dissipation. Regard that the WS76H already takes a high current of 24 A of the electric mains.
So do not connect further powerful users at the same fuse as otherwise the mains and the mains
fuse will be overloaded and phase imbalances will occur.
According to the relevant regulations machines in commercial use may only be operated via site
power distributors. Take care that thereby absolutely residual current circuit breakers type B or B+
are integrated, as type A circuit breakers can fail in case of a fault and so residual currents on
machines which are operated on the same circuit breaker may not be recognized.
4.2
Water connection
Connect the machine and the converter to the water supply via quick connect nipple and ball valve [14].
Thereby regard that the water at first flows through the converter and then from converter to the saw. Please note
the flowing direction at the converter which is marked with arrows.
Please use a GARDENA coupling as the connecting piece to the machine. This can be obtained from a garden centre
or builders' merchant.
A water coupling of brass of high quality can be received directly from WEKA.
Use only clean water, as dirty water will considerably disturb the heat exchange on the cooling surface and thereby
the motor can be totally damaged. Furthermore the seals wear out very quickly.
Attention: Under full power conditions at least 1,5 l water per minute is required for cooling the motor.
Water pressure minimum 1 bar, maximum 4 bar.
4.3
Cutting tool - Diamond saw blade
Use only appropriate diamond tools with segments that are adjusted on the material that has to be cut. If you use
segments that are e.g., too hard, you risk not only a small working progress but also a total standstill, further more
the saw blade drifts and thus jams often so remarkably that the motors switches off due to overload.
Treat the saw blades carefully. If single segments are missing or the blade is badly clamped affected with a radial
run out, there might be developed dangerous unbalances which cause damages on the machine and also endanger
the operator.
Our sales partner are specialists for these tools. Please let yourself be advised comprehensively before deciding for
a saw blade.
