Install Block Heater
WARNING
Accidental Start-up. Disconnect the negative battery
cable, then the positive battery cable when working
on unit. Failure to do so could result in death
or serious injury.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable first from the
battery post indicated by (–) or NEG.
2. See Figure 3. Assemble block heater (Item 1) and
bracket (Item 2) as shown, and attach it to the
frame engine mount support using specified
screws (Item 3), washers (Items 4 and 5) and hex
nuts (Item 6).

left side of radiator. Rotate hex fitting to open.

4. Remove coolant drain hose from holding clamp.
5. Use wrench to hold hex on hose fitting (to prevent
rotation), and use second wrench to open drain
plug.
6. Drain coolant into a suitable container.

engine block and replace it with a hex reducing
bushing (Item 13) and 1/2 in. barbed straight fitting
(Item 8).
