Note:
ATTENTION
Only use sockets, that are suitable for impact screw-
drivers. Always choose the right size sockets for nuts
and bolts.
8.4
Test run
Note:
Before the first work and after each tool attachment
change, carry out a test run without load. Switch off the
product immediately if the tool attachment runs out of
round, there is considerable vibration or abnormal noises
are heard.
1. Before operation, check that the insert tool is correctly
fitted, i.e. centred on the ½ inch square holder (1).
8.5
Set direction of rotation
ATTENTION
The direction of rotation switch may only be actuated
when idle.
With the direction of rotation switch, you can select the di-
rection of rotation of the product (clockwise or anti-clock-
wise) and secure the product from being switched on un-
intentionally. The arrow on the direction of rotation switch
indicates the working direction.
1. Wait until the product has come to a standstill.
2. Push the direction of rotation switch (2) to the desired
position:
– Clockwise rotation: For screwing in screws
and nuts. Press the direction of rotation switch on
the right, with the arrow pointing forwards.
– Anti-clockwise rotation: For undoing screws
and nuts. Press the direction of rotation switch on
the left, with the arrow pointing backwards.
3. Switch lock: Put the direction of rotation switch in the
centre position.
Note:
In counterclockwise rotation, the product is equipped with
a quick-stop function (after 0.15 seconds). This function is
particularly useful when loosening wheel bolts.
8.6
On/Off switch (7) (Fig. 1)
1. To switch on the product, push the on/off switch (7).
2. To switch off, release the on/off switch (7).
If you put the direction of rotation switch (2) in the cen-
tre position, the product is secured from being
switched on.
8.6.1
LED work lamp (8)
This product is equipped with an LED work lamp to illumi-
nate the immediate work area and improve visibility in
poorly lit environments.
CAUTION
Do not look directly into the LED work lamp or the light
source.
1. The LED work lamp (8) lights up automatically as
soon as the product is switched on.
Note:
The LED work lamp remains lit up for approx. 10 seconds
after the product is switched off.
8.6.2
1. During work breaks, the product can be hooked onto
the belt with the integrated belt clip (9).
Note:
Make sure that the product is switched off and secured
against being switched on.
8.7
Set speed/tightening torque
1. Apply light pressure to the on/of switch (8). This en-
sures a low speed/tightening torque. Applying more
pressure to the on/off switch (8) increases the speed/
tightening torque.
Note:
The tightening torque is dependent on the chosen speed
and the impact duration.
ATTENTION
The actual tightening torque achieved must always be
checked with a torque wrench!
8.8
Setting the screw mode (Fig. 1)
The function selector switch (MODE) (6) can be used to
set the screwing mode on the product.
8.8.1
1. Set the direction of rotation switch (2) to the clockwise
position.
2. Press the on/off switch (7) to start the product.
3. The respective working mode can be read via the LED
next to the function selector switch (MODE) (6). To
change the working mode, press the function selector
switch (MODE) (6).
• LED stage
• LED stage
• LED on: The product runs until the on/off switch (7) is
released again.
8.8.2
1. Set the direction of rotation switch (2) to the anti-
clockwise position.
2. Press the on/off switch (7) to activate the product.
3. The respective working mode can be read via the LED
next to the function selector switch (MODE) (6). To
change the working mode, press the function selector
switch (MODE) (6):
• Quickstop LED lights up : Quickstop mode is active.
After 0.15 seconds, the product stops automatically.
This mode helps to prevent the screw to be loosened
from falling. The product stops automatically after the
screw/nut has been sufficiently loosened.
• LED off: The product runs until the on/off switch (7) is
released again.
