8 – MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION : BEFORE EACH MAINTENANCE OPERATION, DISCONNECT INPUT POWER SOURCE FROM MAINS
AND WIRE FEEDER. THESE OPERATIONS MUST BE PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED PERSONAL.
Under normal working conditions, the equipment must be inspected twice a year. The frequency of these operations must be
increased if the equipment is working under aggressive environment such as salt, acid, metallic powder concentrations.
8.1 - Torche, cables and consumables (see suplementar recommendations of each producer) :
- Disconnect torch.
- Verify the state of contact tip, of the nozzle (if present) and torch sleeve; if necessary, replace these
components.
8.2 – Wire feeder:
Internal inspection :
- Take out the wire coil
- Disassemble both covers
- Clean accumulated dust with a low pressure air flux and, if necessary, with a soft brush. Due to its sensible
nature, the cleaning of the PCBoard requires particular attention.
- Verify all internal connections cables and, if necessary, retighten all electrical contacts.
- After this, reassemble both covers.
- External inspection:
- Disassemble and well verify wire and pressure feeding rolls of feeding motor. Clean all inlaid dust and, if
necessary, replace.
- Clean and lubricate bearings of pressure levers until verify that they rotate easily.
