Intended purpose
The bandage supports, relieves and cools the the lower back
area.
Indications
To be used as support for:
•acute pain in the lower spine
•inflammations and swellings
•irritations
Contraindications
Do not use – or use only after consultation with
your doctor – in case of:
•external injuries
•bone fractures
•circulatory disorders
•higher-grade instability of the lumbar spine
(e.g. spondylolisthesis)
•neurological deficits such as paralysis of the lower
extremity limb, radiating nerve pain or similar.
•reduced temperature sensation
•ingestion of painkillers
Safety instructions
Risk of injury
If problems occur while wearing the bandage, remove
it immediately and consult a doctor.
Check the bandage before each use for tears and
damage.
The product should only be used in perfect condition.
Make sure the bandage is comfortable but not too tight.
Never put the bandage on so tightly that the blood
circulation is restricted.
Do not wear the bandage longer than 2 to 3 hours at a
stretch and a maximum of 6 to 8 hours a day.
Do not wear the bandage while sleeping or during
longer rest phases such as long periods of sitting.
Wash the areas of skin covered by the bandage
thoroughly and regularly.
To avoid allergic skin reaction, the skin must be free of
grease, gels, creams, oils or similar materials.
The article may only be used by other people when it
has been cleaned.
Cooling pad:
The cooling pad is for external use only and must be
kept out of the reach of children.
Please check that the cooling pad is not damaged before
each use. Otherwise, please dispose of it in the
household waste.
Keep away from open flames.
When cooling the pad in the freezer, a thin garment
must be worn under the bandage. Avoid direct skin
contact with the cooling pad, otherwise there is a
risk of cold burns!
Possible side effects
If you experience symptoms (such as, e.g. tingling, pain,
swelling) while wearing the bandage, remove the
bandage immediately!
There is a risk of skin inflammation and skin irritation!
In individual cases, skin irritation and reactions as well
as allergic reactions may occur. Make sure that the
stated maximum wearing periods are not exceeded and
the areas of skin covered by the bandage are thoroughly
and regularly washed. Should any problems or
complaints occur, consult a doctor immediately!
Cooling the cooling pad
•Remove the cooling pad from the pocket on the inside
of the bandage. To do this, it is recommended to turn the
bandage inside out.
•Depending on the desired degree of coldness, the cooling
pad can be cooled in the refrigerator or freezer.
Alternatively, the bandage can be cooled with inserted cooling
pad in the refrigerator or freezer compartment.
•To do this, place the bandage in a closed freezer bag.
•Make sure that the bandage is completely dry.
•Stop cooling the items directly before use.
After the bandage has been cooled in the freezer
compartment, a garment must be worn under it to
reduce the risk of cold burns!
Inserting the cooling pad
•Turn the article inside out and insert the cooling pad into the
pocket provided (Fig. 1). Smooth out the cooling pad after
it is fully inserted.
•Make sure the the cooling pad is completely in the pocket
(Fig. 2).
Putting the bandage on
•Place the support around the desired back area and close the
hook and loop fastener of the support (Fig. 3).
•The bandage should fit comfortably and be slightly taut.
Using the cooling bandage
•It is recommended to repeat the cooling several times.
•Maximum 20 min per application
Cleaning and care
•Before using it for the first time, the bandage should be
thoroughly washed.
•To do this, remove the cooling pad before washing.
•After using it two or three times, it should be washed again.
•Wash separately.
Instructions for disposal
Please dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly
way through an approved disposal centre or your local waste
facility. Observe currently applicable regulations.
Obligation to notify
All serious incidents relating to the product must be reported
immediately to the manufacturer and the competent authority.
