The carbon monoxide detector is designed only for interior use. Do not expose
the device to any moisture or rain.
The product does not warn against carbon monoxide exposure if the batteries
are empty.
Do not open or tamper with the device since this could result in malfunctions.
The installation should not be used as a substitute for proper installation, use
and maintenance of fuel-operated devices, including associated ventilation and
exhaust systems.
6. Using and installing the carbon monoxide detector for the first time
The carbon monoxide detector is operated with 3x 1.5V AA batteries and does
not require any extra wiring. Take the device out of the package and remove all
the packaging material. Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the
device and insert 3x 1.5V AA batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity of the
batteries.
You will hear a beep after inserting the batteries. Then press the "test/hush" key
once briefly to make sure that the device alarm is working.
You can install the device either on the wall or place it on a table for example.
Test if the device is working each time after changing the batteries (TEST/ HUSH
key).
6.1 Wall assembly
After selecting the installation place and setting it up, ensure that no electrical
wiring or pipelines are present in this area.
Finally, mark the mounting holes and do the drilling at the marked places.
Tighten a screw in each of the two holes and ensure that the screw head projects
by approx. 4 mm.
Subsequently, insert 3x1.5V AA batteries into the battery compartment of the
device and then close the compartment.
Hang up the carbon monoxide detector at the fixed screws.
