Make sure that your family know the causes and effects of carbon monoxide poi-
soning. Check the CO detector once a month. Exchange empty batteries immedi-
ately. A qualified technician should check the installation. Regularly examine your
fuel-burning equipment such as fireplaces or gas ovens. Do not use any grill within
your house or your garage. Keep yourself informed and pay attention to any signs
of carbon monoxide poisoning such as, for example, discomfort, headache, vertigo,
nausea, shortness of breath and cramps.
