Note: This device requires a minimum CO concentration of 250
PPM for calibration. If the CO concentration is less than 250 PPM, the
previous calibration values are not overwritten.
If the CO concentration on the display is above 30 PPM, the unit leaves
automatically the calibration mode to avoid a malfunction. If the cali-
bration mode is triggered accidentally, the "test / hush" button should be
pressed once to end this mode.
9. When the CO alarm is triggered
If you hear the alarm signal of the carbon monoxide detector, please take the fol-
lowing measures immediately:
1.
Be calm and open all windows and doors first to increase ventilation.
2.
Turn off all combustion devices and make sure they are actually turned off.
3.
Press the "TEST/HUSH" button to stop the alarm. Please do not enter the
area again until the CO concentration drops back to a non-critical level.
4.
If the CO concentration is still critical after the muting time of 2 minutes, the
CO alarm sounds again.
5.
Leave the building if the carbon monoxide level is high or if the source can-
not be determined immediately. If necessary, please alert other occupants.
6.
Then call the fire brigade or appropriate emergency services. Always follow
their instructions. In this case, indicate that carbon monoxide may have
been inhaled. Do not restart the fireplace until the cause of the carbon mo-
noxide emission has been professionally determined and rectified.
7.
Check if the carbon monoxide detector is working after an alarm by pressing
the "TEST/HUSH" button. Replace the batteries of the device if necessary.
