4. USE
4.1. BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using your food processor for the first time, wash the work bowl and all the
accessories except the drive shaft in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
1. Remove the work bowl lid. Turn the lid counterclockwise to unlock, then remove it
from the bowl.
2. Remove all parts and accessories from the bowl, and lift the food pusher out of
the feed tube.
3. To remove the bowl from the motor base, turn the bowl counterclockwise and then
lift it up.
4.2. ASSEMBLING THE FOOD PROCESSOR
IMPORTANT: Place the food processor on a clean, dry, level surface, such as
a countertop or table, with the control knob facing forward. Do not plug in the food
processor until it is completely assembled.
1. Place the work bowl on the base. Align the bowl handle with the recess on the
right side of the base, then turn the bowl clockwise until it clicks into place. The
bowl should be flush with the base.
2. Install the desired blade or disc. See the following sections.
3. Place the blade or disc in the work bowl, lowering it onto the drive shaft.
4. Attach the lid to the work bowl. Align the lid with the bowl and turn the lid
clockwise until you will hear a click to fix it on the bowl.
Note: Your food processor will not operate unless the work bowl lid is fully closed and
the work bowl is properly seated on the base.
4.3. OPERATING THE FOOD PROCESSOR
Before operating the food processor, make sure the work bowl, blades, and lid are
properly assembled on the base (see "Assembling the food processor").
To turn on, turn the control knob to the "1" (low) or "2" (high) position. The food

processor will run continuously.
2. To use the Pulse function: Turn the control knob to the "P" position and keep
holding the knob in that position. The Pulse function runs at the highest speed.
The food processor will stop when you release the knob.

Always use the food pusher. Keep fingers out of openings.
Keep away from children. Failure to do so can result in
amputation or cuts.
