Each unit is supplied complete with individual test
certificate and a certificate of conformity to the European
Union directives.
The units are marked "CE".
4 - Positioning on site
4.1 - Inspection
On receiving the equipment immediately inspect its condition.
Any damage must be reported to the transport company at once.
4.2 - Transport and storage
During transport avoid the exerting of pressure on the top
edges of the packing.
The units with their packages can be stacked for max. three
units/stack, overlapping them.
Unpack the unit as close as possible to its installation position.
Once unpacked, remove the protection film from the
unit's surfaces. Avoid stress being transmitted to its
internal components.
4.3 - Choosing the installation site
The installation site must guarantee the following:
A sufficient supply/dispersion of air to allow operation in even
the severest conditions.
A service area around the unit (for maintenance).
OUTDOOR POSITIONING:
The unit is weatherproof and does not require a protection
roof, all instruments are covered, the fans have IP 54
PROTECTION; (HCR07-10 fans are IP44).
As whole, the unit has a protection degree of IP x 4
Ensure that solid particles (eg. leaves) will not be sucked into
the condenser.

A
C
B) Place the model near the installation
point.
C) Using the holes placed in the middle
of the legs and using all the legs
available on a side, pivoting on the legs
of opposite side rotate the model in
order to have horizontal airflow.
INDOOR POSITIONING:
It is of paramount importance that there is a sufficient passage
of air.
If the room height is less than 4 m the condenser must be
positioned for horizontal airflow (see para. 1.5).
NOISE CONSIDERATIONS:
The use of factory installed Variex (see para. 2.5) allows
Liebert
HCR to be placed in residential areas.

4.4 - Vertical flow positioning (Fig. 1)
In order to allow sufficient air flow through the unit and space for
any eventual maintenance, the Service Area should be left free of
obstructions.
The Service Area in Fig. 1 must be respected.
With vertical airflow installation a free area of at least 4 m above
the condenser has to be guarantee for a correct air circulation with
the aim to avoid air short-cut from discharge to suction air side of
condenser.
Legs of unit are supplied as standard and they need to be mounted
at full length for a correct working of unit.
4.5 - Horizontal flow positioning (Fig. 2)
The condenser can be positioned for horizontal air flow.
The Service Area in Fig. 2 must be respected.
ATTENTION:
ALWAYS POSITION THE CONDENSER SO THAT
THE REFRIGERANT ENTERS FROM THE TOP AND THE LIQUID
EXITS FROM THE BOTTOM (See Fig. 3).
5 - Installation
5.1 - Assembly of legs
The legs which are supplied separately from the condenser unit,
must be fixed to the unit using the screws provided.
B
D) Lift the unit using same holes
used for rotation and placed it in the
installation point.
E) The legs not used can be
disassembled.
F) Fix the model to the floor using
holes on the legs and appropriate
fixing systems.
