2.6.2 Before each maintenance
task
1. Swtich on the compressor at the ON/OFF
switch (item 10). Disconnect the power
supply.
2. Depressurise the compressor: using the
blow gun, blow out all pressure from the
vessel.
3. Remove maintenance flap for mainte-
nance work on the compressor unit and
V-belt drive.
2.6.3 Cleaning the compressor
• Clean the cooling fins on the cylinder, cyl-
inder head and aftercooler using com-
pressed air.
• Clean the fan impeller cover on the motor.
2.6.4 Cleaning the 3/2-way valve
1. Remove rubber covering from support
plate (Figure 12a).
2. Remove four support plate screws, re-
move support panel and side panel (Fig-
ure 12a).
3. Press throttle valve connector and re-
move condensate hose (Figure 12b).
4. By turning in an anticlockwise direction,
unscrew union nut from the threaded
pipe angle and remove condensate hose
(Figure 12b).
5. Remove screws by turning in an anti-
clockwise direction (Figure 12b).
6. In an anticlockwise direction, unscrew
union nut from the straight union and re-
move condensate hose (Figure 12b).
7. Remove screws by turning in an anti-
clockwise direction and remove side
plate (Figure 12c).
8. Pull out spring (Figure 12c).
9. Remove screws by turning in an anti-
clockwise direction and remove side
plates (Figure 12c).
10. Pull out valve lifter (Figure 12c).
11. Clean valve lifter and housing. If the
valve can not be cleaned, replace entire
valve.
12. Lubricate valve lifter with grease.
13. To install, follow steps indicated for re-
moval in reverse order.
2.6.5 Checking the oil level
For compressors with an oil dipstick, pull the
dipstick out.
1. The oil level must be between the top
and bottom marks (oil dipstick/oil in-
spection glass) (Figure 7a).
2. Correct if necessary.
In very unfavourable conditions, condensate
may find its way into the oil. This can be
identified by milky oil. In this case, the oil
must be changed immediately.
2.6.6 Changing/adding oil
1. Allow the compressor to warm up, switch
it off, disconnect the power supply.
2. Remove the sealing plug from the mini
ball valve, screw on the accompanying
oil drain hose.
3. Pull out the oil filler plug or oil dipstick
(item 03), hold the used oil container un-
der the oil drain hose, open the mini ball
valve, drain the used oil completely.
4. Close the mini ball valve.
5. Add the prescribed quantity of oil.
6. Check the oil level, correct if necessary.
Insert the oil filler plug or oil dipstick.
7. Unscrew the oil drain hose and close off
the mini ball valve with the plug.
8. Dispose of used oil according to applica-
ble regulations.
L As the mineral oil, we recommend Art.
No. B111002, synthetic oil Art. No.
B111006. Using incorrect oils will void the
warranty.
Mixing synthetic and mineral oils may
damage the compressor!
2.6.7 Clean intake filter
See Part 1 of the Instruction Manual.
L Do not purge the intake opening. No for-
eign objects may enter.
Never operate the compressor without an
intake filter.
2.6.8 Checking the water separa-
tor with filter
1. Check if condensate is collecting in the
tank. If it is collecting, then do the fol-
lowing:
2. By turning in an anticlockwise direction,
remove the tank for the water separator
