(6) Adjust the loose chain
If the chain has the above problems, the chain
wheels will be very likely to cause damage to it.
Inspect the sprockets for the following:
(1) Overworn gear
(2) Broken or damaged gear
(3) Loose sprocket retaining nut.
Adjustment of the drive chain (single swing
arm):
Every 1000km, adjust the drive
chain so that the chain sag is
28 to 35mm. Depending on
your
driving
situation,
chain may need to be adjusted frequently.
Warning
These recommendations are for maximum adjustment
intervals, and in fact the adjustment chain should be
checked before each drive. Excessive looseness of
the chain may cause the chain to fall off from the chain
the
or cause serious damage to the engine.
Please adjust the chain
as follows:
(1)
Support
the
motorcycle
with
a
support frame.
(2) Loosen the two rear swing arm locking bolts ①.
(3) Rotate the rear tire until you see the two
adjusting holes ② on the cam.
(4) Insert the screwdriver or special tool ③ into the
two adjusting holes, and adjust the looseness of the
chain
by
turning
the
counterclockwise with the help of the sleeve and
other tools. After the looseness of the chain is
adjusted to 28 ~ 35mm, re-fix the locking bolt of the
rear swing arm for final inspection.
Cleaning and lubrication of the drive chain
Clean the chain with a dry cloth and motorcycle
chain cleaner. Clean the dirt on the chain with a soft
