2.2 Intended use
The Junction Box Ex d is an explosion-proof sensor connection housing that
makes it possible to install the sensor separately from the transmitter. The
sensor connection housing can be connected to a controller via a
Polytron 5000/8000 or PointGard 3200/37x0. If the sensor connection housing
is operated with a PIR 7x00, it can also be connected directly to a controller.
The sensor connection housing can be used to measure gases in ambient air or
in a duct/pipe. It is suitable for wall, ceiling and duct mounting.
The housing consists of robust stainless steel or aluminum and is suitable for
indoor or outdoor applications.
