2. Install the Bath Drain and Trap
Disassemble the drain and trap components. Take care not to lose the O-ring in the trap on the ell
end.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty according to manufacturer's instructions to the underside of the
body, and insert the body into the sitz bath drain hole.
Slide the gasket and washer onto the body, and tighten the nut securely.
Slide the gasket up to the top of the tailpiece.
Place the nut over the tailpiece, and tighten securely to the body.
Thread one end of the 1-1/2" NPT drain pipe into the drain outlet, and slide the flange back to the
wall to cover the drain outlet.
Thread the ell onto the other end of the drain pipe, with the ell pointing down.
With the tapered side of the gasket facing down, slide the nut and gasket over the tailpiece.
Insert the trap over the tailpiece, aligning the other end of the trap with the ell at the same time.
Securely tighten the nuts on the tailpiece. Securely tighten the ell to the trap.
