Recline the backrest to position R4 (baby sitting up).
Adjust the headrest to the required position (C1 or C2) If the headrest
is in the carrycot position C1, to change it to the C2 position, simulta-
neously press the side buttons and press the headrest to move it to

the sitting position. .b
Loosen the harness system by pressing the central adjustment button
while carefully pulling the belt fastener.
Unfasten the belt lock, 4 .d place the cushion insert for babies (15) in
the iMATRIX and pass the belt through the belt guides
the shoulder straps between the headrest and the shoulder zone.
Place the child in the iMATRIX. Pass the straps over the child's shoul-
ders and bring them together in front of the child's body. Fasten the

belt. .g
In order to provide maximum protection, the shoulder straps of the
iMATRIX safety seat should be adjusted so they go just above the
baby's shoulders. Check the height of the straps when the baby is
correctly positioned in the seat.
Your iMATRIX safety seat is fitted with a shoulder strap quick height
adjustment system by using the headrest position adjustment button.
Pull the handle on the headrest and slide is along the backrest to the
required position. Check that it is locked into place by pulling the ad-

Tighten the harness system by pulling the central belt so that it fits the
