Installation
Re fe r to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
The installation must be carried out by a qualifie d pe rson.
1. C hoose a prope r location for the sensor. Avoid places whe re
tem pe rature change s freque ntly, e.g. near air conditione rs or
heating de vice s. Also avoid m oving obstructions or obje cts in the
de te ction fie ld of the sensor to pre vent unne cessary activation.
2. The PIR se nsor must be installe d inside a hole which is max .
12 mm in diame te r. The controlle r can be installed on the othe r
side of the wall, inside a droppe d ce iling or, be hind a false wall.
Leave sufficie nt space (at least 2 cm ) around the controlle r for
ve ntilation.
Notes:
• The lead wire s of the se nsor are ± 20 cm long. When mounting
the controlle r on the othe r side of a wall, drill a hole of at least
12 mm for the conne ctor and wire s to go through.
• Make sure the controlle r is acce ssible at all time s when installing
inside a droppe d ce iling or behind a false wall. Howe ve r, it should
be sufficie ntly prote cted to avoid accide ntal touching!
3. A 12 Vdc/2.6 A powe r supply (not incl.) must be provided.
4. C onne ct the se nsor to the controlle r [2]. The conne ctor fits only
one way, do not force .
