To grind it more coarsely, turn the button clockwise. An adjustable indicator makes it
possible to check the position of the desired setting on a graduated scale. This setting
can be reset each time the grinder elements are changed.
When the
grinding elements need to be changed, please refer to the paragraph
concerning
"Maintenance".
ATTENTION : Do not let the grinding elements touch each other or they might be
lamaged.
IF the grinding elements do touch, this will make the ground coffee block (the
grinding elements bind one against the other) and this will stop the motor.
ADJUSTING THE AMOUNT OF COFFEE GROUND:
e The amount of ground coffee dispensed is adjusted using a button which controls the
timer, marked (14, located inside the coffee grinder casing. This button adjusts the
time for which the motor and grinding unit operate.
e In order to adjust the amount of ground coffee to be dispensed, unplug the machine,
remoye the rear lower plate to gain access to the button marked (14), which adjusts the
time for which the motor marked (8) operates
e Make several trial runs to find the setting which dispenses the required amount of
ground coffee.
MOTOR OVERLOAD SAFETY CUTOUT
* Switch off the power supply to the machine (turn the watertight illuminated switch
marked (12) to the off position and unplug the cable to the mains before any
intervention).
e If the motor has become blocked (foreign body in the coffee, coffee ground too fine or
grinding elements set too close together, etc) protection os a current overload is
provided by a thermal cut-out switch with a manual reset. In this case find out why the
motor has blocked, carry out the necessary correction and wait a few moments before
resetting the thermal cut-out switch using
the button marked (15) located under the
machine. Then plug the cable back into the power supply and switch on the watertight
illuminated switch marked (12) (the lamp will light up). Press on the press button
marked (11), to dispense a new measured quantity of ground coffee.
Unplug the machine from the power supply before any maintenance and do not touch
the condenser terminals.
Clean the coffee outlet from time to time.
e When the grinding elements need to be changed, remove the upper front plate marked
(16), ie. the one which does not have the push button, empty
the coffee
bean hopper
and remove the rod holding the hopper in place, marked
( 4 ) .
* Remove the coffee bean hopper marked (2) together with the lid marked (1) and the
coffee feed tube marked (3).
* Set the distance between the grinding elements at maximum fur the button clockwise)
before dismantling the complete grinder body marked (5). This precaution means that
after changing
the grinding elements, the
grinder body can be assembled with no risk
of deforming the components or blocking fe motor.
Unscrew the 3 fixing nuts marked (7) on the grinder body marked (5) to gain access to
the grinding elements.
* Unscrew the 3 fixing screws marked (17) from the worn mobile
grinding element
marked (18) on the mobile grinding element support plate marked (id.
e Unscrew the 3 fixing screws marked (17) from the worn fixed grinding element
