If the appliance is connected to an
automatic charging control unit, there
is the possibility that voltage will still be
present at the terminals A1/Z1 and
A2/Z2, even if the fuses have been removed.
Connection
The electrical connection leads are to be
provided with stress-relief if appropriate, and
are to be connected in accordance with the
electrical circuit diagram in the appliance (on
the inside of the right-hand side wall) or in
accordance with the circuit diagram shown
opposite.
If the angle plate located in the switching area
for accommodating the network connection
terminals is only poorly accessible due to
too little lateral clearance, it can be pivoted
forwards after releasing (not removing) the
screw located in the rear wall during the con-
nection work.
During the charging period, a voltage
(230 V) must pertain at the „L" termi-
nal of the terminal block X2.
If there is no separate voltage supply avail-
able for this purpose, the terminal „L1"
can be bridged with „L". In this case, the
terminal „N" of the terminal block X2 is
also to be bridged with the terminal „N"
of the terminal block X1 (only possible
with wall-mounted room temperature
regulators).
It is essential to ensure that the pro-
tective conductor is correctly con-
nected.
Before being connected, the lead to
the connection of a DC control de-
vice is to be encased in an insulating sleeve
from the stress-relief point as far as the
connection terminal.
Actuation without heating contactor:
If it is not intended to install a heating
contactor (in part a requirement by the
electricity utility company), the thermal relay
installed at the factory can be used.
To do this, either the electricity utility
company „LF+N" signals or the „SH+N"
signals are to be connected directly to the
„L-SH+N" terminals of the heat storage
appliance. The references marked * in the
circuit diagram opposite are to be taken into
consideration in this respect.
The heating elements in the appliance will
not be switched on until LF clearance is is-
sued by the electricity utility company, and
the electronic charging regulator issues
clearance for charging.
For operation with „single-wire
control", a bridge is to be laid be-
tween „N" and „A2/Z2".
