(short-term or long-term) by injection (e.g., hormone treatment).
- Do not use the device over areas of injury or restricted movement (e.g., fractures or sprains).
- Carry out the first few minutes of treatment while sitting or lying down, so that if you experience a rare
vasovagal reaction (i.e., you feel faint) then you are not at unnecessary risk of injury. If you start to
feel faint, shut off the unit immediately and elevate your legs for approximately 5 – 10 minutes.
- Use of accessories, transducers and cables other than those specified or provided by the manu
facturer of this equipment could result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased elec-
tromagnetic immunity of this equipment and result in improper operation.
- Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided because it
could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, this equipment and the other equip
ment should be observed to verify that they are operating normally.
- Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables and exter
nal antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the [device], including
cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, degradation of the performance of this equipment
could result.
• Do not use this device near the heart. The stimulation belt must not be placed on any part of the front
ribcage (where the ribs and breastbone are located), especially not on the two large pectorals. This can
increase the risk of ventricular fibrillation and induce cardiac arrest. The belt must be placed on the
abdomen.
• Do not use this device on acutely or chronically diseased (injured or irritated) skin (inflamed skin
whether painful or not, reddened skin, rashes, allergies, burns, bruises, swellings, both open an
healing wounds, and post-operative scars where the healing process could be affected).
• Do not use after consuming alcohol.
• Do not use if connected to a high-frequency surgical device.
Before using the device, consult your doctor if any of the following applies to you:
• If you are in doubt.
• Serious illnesses, in particular if you suspect or have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, low
blood pressure, a blood coagulation disorder, propensity to thromboembolic conditions or recurrent
alignant growths.
• Any skin conditions.
• Diabetes.
• Any sensory impairment that reduces the feeling of pain (e.g. metabolic disorders).
• In the event of complaints linked to stimulation treatment.
• If you suffer from persistently irritated skin due to long-term stimulation at the same electrode site.
• After a recent surgical procedure; stimulation may disrupt the healing process.
• After delivering a baby.
• After an IUD contraceptive device (e.g., coil) has been fitted.
• After the heavy days of your period have finished, as vigorous abdominal exercise is not recom-
mended at this time.

Battery Handling Safety Precautions

• Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
• Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries. Reversed batteries may cause dam-
age to the device.
• Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc or rechargeable batteries)
or old batteries with fresh ones. Always replace batteries as a simultaneous set.
• If the batteries in the device are depleted or the device will not be used for a long period of time, remove
the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
• Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and rupture (follow bat-
tery manufacturer's directions).
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
• Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
