3.12 Adjusting the stability and the maneuverability

Risk of injury - Make sure that all screws are properly tightened with
the appropriate tool.

wheels on both sides are mounted in the same position.

WARNING:
Risk of tipping over - Be aware that you change the stability of the
wheelchair.
Standard shall be an anti-tipping device mounted on the wheelchair when the axle adapter
is positioned to the front.
Some of the wheelchairs are made with an adjustable axle adjuster. With these adjuster you
can also change the stability and the manoeuvrability of your wheelchair.

Maintenance
For the maintenance manual of the manual wheelchairs refer to the Vermeiren website:

The driving wheels are mounted in an axle adapter at
the bottom of the back frame .
1. Loosen the fixing screws .
2. Turn the axle adapter to the front or back until
the desired position.
3. Tighten the screws properly .
4. Adjust the brakes.

2. Push/Pull the adjustable axle adjuster

upwards or downwards to the required
height or mount the rear wheel in another
axle mounting .
3. Retighten the screws and .
4. Adjust the brakes.
Please note that your wheelchair might
become tipping over. To prevent this, you can
also mount an anti-tipping device.
