Troubleshooting

Problem
Red and green LEDs do not illuminate to indicate the Battery
(11) is correctly charging
Battery pack has low capacity
Drill cannot be switched on (Trigger Switch (8) does not move)
Drill does not start when Trigger Switch is depressed
Screws do not reach deep enough into the workpiece
Screws are driven too deep into the workpiece surface
Drilling performance poor with masonry

Possible cause
Battery not correctly connected to Battery Charger Unit (15)
Charger not powered
Battery not being fully charged
Battery pack has been charged over 100 times and capacity
has started to reduce
The Forward/Reverse Switch may be in the middle ("locked")
position
Battery completely discharged
Defective battery
Drill machine defective
Not enough torque; torque clutch setting too low
Low battery voltage
Too much torque; torque clutch setting too high
Hammer mode not selected
Drill bit tip worn or damaged
Very dense material
Solution
Clean battery socket of charger and battery contacts and fully
slide on to charger so it clicks in a locked position
Recheck mains connection
Do not remove Battery until a full charge is indicated
This is normal for battery packs. Contact your Silverline dealer
to purchase a replacement battery pack
Slide the Forward/Reverse Switch either to the left or right
Recharge battery or replace with a fully charged battery
Replace battery
Contact your Silverline dealer or authorised service centre
Choose a higher torque setting
Recharge battery or replace with a fully charged battery
Choose a lower torque setting
Enable hammer mode
Replace drill bit
Drilling speed will be slow in such material. A smaller pilot drill
can be drilled first to speed up the drilling process
