RESETTING PARAMETERS TO DEFAULT VALUES

All operating program data can be reset to the default value, which is useful for correcting problems caused by unin-
tentionally altered parameters.
To reset, enter the menu and select "ini". When you press the master control, you will be asked to confirm this action.
With the main control, select "YES" and all data of the current operating program will be reset.

MMA WELDING OPERATIONS

For coated electrode welding, the machine has support functions of primming (hot-start), material transfer assistance
(arc-force) and prolonged short-circuit power reduction (anti-stick).
Connect the electrode clamp and earth clamp according to the instructions of the electrode used. Use the terminals
on the front of the power unit.
Select the MMA mode. Having selected the MMA mode, you can set the desired welding amperage.
Aeroprocess 4000 CC/CV machines have the arc-force feature. This feature assists the transfer of coated electrode
material by adjusting the short-circuit current. If a prolonged short circuit of more than a second occurs, the anti-stick
function is activated, so that the machine stops supplying power to allow to pull of the electrode.
If you use cutting or arc gouging electrodes, set an Arc Force value of more than 150%.
You can increase the sensitivity of the arc-force function using the P.28 program function. A high value softens the arc
and reduces the number of projections, whereas a low value increases sensitivity assisting with the transfer of mate-
rial.
For cutting electrodes, a sensitivity of 1 to 3 is recommended. For rutile or basic electrodes, the ideal sensitivity is
between 5 and 7.

Initial welding current for arc with coated electrode.
The value is referred as a percentage of the rated cu-
rrent (defined in A1).
A value of 100 to 150% helps better penetration of the
material when starting the bead.
Time during which the initial current is supplied.
Welding current. Set up according to the electrode and
thickness to be joined.
Regulates the maximum short-circuit current to help
material transfer.
A high value helps prevent the electrode sticking to the
workpiece and improves the welding quality of cellulo-
sic type electrodes or aluminium alloys.
