This mobile unit can be used to reprocess machine-reprocessable
medical devices, laboratory glassware and utensils in a Miele washer-
disinfector. Follow the operating instructions for your washer-disin-
fector as well as the instructions of the medical device or glassware
and utensil manufacturer on how to reprocess their items by machine.
The A 501 mobile unit can be used on its own or with application-
specific modules and inserts.
For example, DIN mesh trays containing surgical instruments, con-
tainers or lamp handles can be reprocessed.
Lumened instruments from fields such as microsurgery, gynaecology
or otorhinolaryngology can be reprocessed using additional modules.
The mobile unit can be used in the following machines:
– PLW 8615
– PLW 8616
– PLW 8617
– PWD 8626
– PWD 8628
The washer-disinfector is generally referred to as "the machine" in
these operating instructions. Reprocessable medical devices, laborat-
ory glassware and utensils are referred to as "items" if they are not
more closely defined.
