6) Once the LED READY (14) stops flashing and
GB
starts to light permanently, the heating process is
completed and fog may be emitted.
Manual fog output:
Turn the control (16) counter-clockwise until it
locks. The LED TIMER (13) will not light up. Keep
the button (17) on the remote control pressed. Fog
will be emitted while it is kept pressed.
Automatic fog output:
Set the control (16) from the left stop to the desired
fog output interval. In this case, the fog output time
is fixed to approx. 4 seconds; the interval between
the outputs can be set from 5 to 200 seconds. The
more the control is turned clockwise, the longer the
interval is between the outputs. The LED TIMER
(13) will light up in the automatic mode. To terminate
the fog output, turn the control counter-clockwise
until it locks at the left stop. The LED TIMER will be
extinguished. In the automatic mode, fog may be
emitted additionally by pressing the button (17).
Note: Due to residual fluid in the fog machine, the
unit may still emit some fog after releasing
the button or after switching off the automatic
mode.
Fog output via DMX control:
Make sure that the automatic timer is deactivated
[the LED TIMER (13) will not light up; if necessary,
turn the control (16) counter-clockwise until it
locks]. In case of DMX control of the fog machine,
the fog machine reserves one channel on the DMX
control unit. Via the DIP switches (8), first adjust the
fog machine to the address provided for it on the
control unit – see chapter 4.3. With DMX control,
the fog machine will operate as follows:
DMX value 0 – 128:
DMX value 129 – 255:
The LED (7) will indicate that a DMX signal is re-
ceived. Even if a DMX signal is received, the func-
tions of the cable remote control are not affected.
7) The fog machine is able to emit fog continuously for
at least 30 seconds until the LED READY (14)
starts flashing again. Then it must heat up again.
During the heating process, the unit will not be able
to emit any fog.
8) After operation, switch off the fog machine with the
POWER switch (10).
Note: Due to residual fluid in the fog machine, the
unit may still emit some fog for a short time
after switching off.
9) Before transporting the unit, allow it to cool and
completely empty the tank!
4.3 Adjusting the DMX address
To operate the fog machine with a DMX control unit,
adjust the DMX address as a binary number via the
DIP switches (8) with the numbers 1 – 9. The start
address will result when adding the place values of the

Adjusting the DMX address
The easiest way is always to start from the highest
possible switch value and to add the smaller values.
Another method for adjusting an address given as a
decimal number is as follows:
1) Set all switches to off (right position).
2) If the number is even, leave switch No. 1 in the off
position; if it is uneven, set the switch to ON and
subtract 1 from the number.
3) Divide the number or the result by 2.
4) If the result is even, leave the next switch in the off
position; if it is uneven, set the switch to ON and
subtract 1 from the result.
Repeat steps 3) and 4) until the result is zero.
As an aid for adjusting, the small PC programme
DIPSWITCH.EXE is available for download via the
Internet: www.imgstageline.com, Support, Software.
5 Maintenance
For cleaning the outside of the unit, only use a dry, soft
cloth; never use chemicals or water which may get
inside the unit.
Due to the viscosity of the fog fluid and the high
vaporizing temperature, fog machines are susceptible
to clogging. After approx. 40 hours of operation, it is
therefore recommended to clean the unit with a fluid
consisting of 90 % distilled water and 10 % vinegar.
1) Disconnect the fog machine from the mains and
allow it to cool sufficiently.
2) Unscrew the fog output nozzle by means of a suita-
ble tool, then use vinegar to remove any deposits
on the nozzle.
3) Completely empty the tank.
4) Fill the tank with the cleaning fluid stated above.
5) Operate the unit with the cleaning fluid in a suffi-
ciently ventilated environment until the tank is
